Hey if anyone is interested, the Canberra Environment Centre is hosting an evening dinner event on Saturday 7th July to celebrate Tanabata!

Tanabata is a traditional Japanese festival held on the one evening of the year when two stars, said to be lovers, meet in the sky. It is a special occasion, when wishes for the future are made!

Food, wine and music with a japanese flavour, make a wish and meet some more Canberrans into sustainabilty :) 6:30pm at the Food Co-Op, 3 Kingsley St, Acton.

$45 per person, bookings are essential – RSVP info@ecoaction.com.au, or on 02 6248 0885.

I personally like the idea of making a wish under a string of Japanese lanterns :)
