Not growing peas for the snails

I am sick of the snails eating my young pea plants. Have just bused some old cloth bags to make some hanging planters. I randomly cut some holes in some old calico bags, filled them with soil and planted my pea seeds. On completing my planting, I hung them from our patio rafters and watered them. I defy the snails to eat them now!

  1. Used coffee grains are supposed to be good at deterring the nasty creatures. Also beer baits. I go out with a torch at night when they are active and put them all in a bucket, drown them and add them to my compost. A little bit time consuming but it works.
