A good Start

This week I have been sorting through all sorts of things that have been stored in my parents house for the past 6 years. I have just moved back to Canberra and realised how much usable stuff has been packed away that I no longer need. Almost 500 liters of clothing, fabric and accessories have been donated to the local op shop. Nearly a whole yellow lid wheely bin of recyclables have been sent away. I feel great and I hope that those of you pledging to shop at op shops find great uses for my donations.

@AnneKJK it is amazing how much stuff we accumulate. I am just packing my place up to rent and am surprised at the things I am finding in the back of cupboards that I can use – either for the original purpose I purchased them for, or for something else. In addition, I too have lots of stuff to recycle. It makes one feel good to do a bit of cleaning out.

    • We moved in to our house 18 months ago, thrilled to have a home with so much storage space. We emptied our boxes in to those cupboards and there was still plenty of space. Now, 18 months down the track, those cupboards and closets are FULL! Time for a clean out. Salvos, here we come!
