Herb drying

Has anyone dried fresh herbs (such as Basil, Tarragon, Oregano) before? I think I might give it a go…any tips?

    I have been drying Basil and Oregano for a few years. I find the most important thing is to make sure that the herbs you choose to dry are in top condition to begin with. That is, don’t wait until the very end of the season to pick what is left, but choose some good quality stems throughout the growing season.

    Also, make sure that the containers you store your dried herbs in are airtight. If you store them in the same cupboard and the containers aren’t airtight, you will get cross contamination of smell at the least.
